There are no two of the same gardens, neither owners with their specific needs and lifestyles. You may dream about a garden with plants or prefer a simple, minimalistic look. Any garden has the potential to serve you best and be an oasis of peace and freedom. There are garden owners who spend a great time outdoors. Some owners have no time for such a pleasure but can enjoy their green spaces during their free time and admire garden views from the inside. There are families with children and pets, so it is no surprise they would like their garden to be a safe space. I can ensure plants are harmless and fun to grow. Nowadays, green spaces play a significant role in our daily life. They incorporate different functions quite often in restricted areas. When planning a garden, there are many other elements to consider. There are gardens well established but in need of refreshment, and quite often, they need to be rearranged to become again fit to purpose. All aspects mentioned above . I prepare garden plans explicitly tailored to your needs and design a garden you can be proud of.
What is involved in the garden design process?
Initial consultation
We will visit your garden at your convenience and discuss your needs and ideas. What would you like to change and archive within the garden space? Next, we will talk about your budget, and we will discuss all your preferences. Once we have gathered all the necessary information, we will undertake the garden survey. Then we will be ready to start working on the concept plan for you.
Designing a garden - concept plan
It is the most creative and essential part of garden creation. It outlines the initial shape of borders, paths, and functions within the garden space and shows the final character. The concept plan is accompanied by visualisations and inspirational photographs to help you understand how the final design would look when established. In brief, it is a simple version of the master plan. In that stage of the design process, we brainstorm, exchange our ideas, and shape the garden to your needs.
Master plan
Once the concept plan is approved and feedback received, we continue creating the document called the master plan. The master plan is a detailed concept plan. The master plan guarantees that your new garden will be the safe, happy and beautiful place you discussed in the initial consultation. It includes all necessary measurements, and we specify materials, accessories, colours and patterns. At this stage, design is coming to life.
The master plan includes 3D visualisations, detailed construction drawings of discussed features (to guide your landscaper through the construction process) and a planting plan.
Planting plan
A planting plan puts the wow factor into your garden and ensures any plant material thrives. We will ensure used plants are suitable for garden conditions (soil, light, wind exposure, water, and your specific needs), look good together, and ensure borders inspire almost all year round. In addition, we will supply you with photographs and instructions on how to take care of your plants.
We can create planting plans for existing gardens and new developments if you wish to refresh the look, rejuvenate tired borders, or reduce your workload by incorporating low-maintenance plants.
